The Museum is open again

June 3

The Warsaw Rising Museum opens again on June 3. The opening hours, visiting path and visiting conditions will change. Visitors can choose between a new audio guide track and a guided tour of the exhibition in accordance with applicable safety regulations. People who prefer to stay indoors or live far away but would still like to see the exhibition will be offered an opportunity to listen about the events of August and September 1944 in their homes.

NEW VISITING PATH

The new regulations applicable to cultural establishments have entailed a change in our visiting path which will be available with a new audio guide.

With visitor safety in mind, we have temporarily closed some elements of the exhibition to minimise access to "touchable" items such as drawers with biographical notes and photos in the photoplasticon devices. They are still available online at www.1944.pl.

VISITING FROM HOME

If you are unable to visit the Museum in person, you can take a virtual tour with our Progressive Web App (PWA) which will guide you, also in English, around the Warsaw Rising Museum from any location around the world, also from your own home.

To use the app, scan the QR code on the Museum's website at www.1944.pl or click THIS LINK. Once the content is loaded, you can use the app even if you are offline.

A tour with the PWA takes slightly over one hour and can be taken in Polish and English. The app will be available online by the end of June 2020. You can use it also in the Museum on your own mobile phone.

The app for virtual tours has been developed by Antenna International, a company which designs audio guides and visiting paths for cultural institutions, sites of remembrance and numerous tourist attractions.

SMALLER GROUPS

Due to the requirement to keep distance, guided tours will be available only to families and individual visitors. Guided tours can be arranged on site at the Museum, not online. During your visit you must cover your mouth and nose, wear protective gloves and maintain social distancing.
